                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 2255
                   CENTER STREET, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST LINE OF
                   CENTER STREET SOUTHWEST OF SHALLOWFORD ROAD,
                   FROM M-2 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONE TO C-2
                   CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 2255 Center Street,
                being on the northwest line of Center Street
                southwest of Shallowford Road.  Part of lot 2A,
                Resubdivision of Lot 2, Ed Robinson tract, as shown
                by plat of record in plat book 38, page 133, ROHC;
                being part of the property described in deed book
                4093, page 285, ROHC.  Said part of lot begins on
                the northwest line of Center Street 450 feet
                southwest of the intersection of the northwest line
                of Center Street with the southwest line of
                Shallowford Road, said point being the northeast
                corner of said lot 2A, thence continuing southwest
                264.34 feet with Center Street to a point 25 feet
                northeast of the southeast corner of lot 2A, thence
                northwest some 57 feet parallel to, and at all
                point 25 feet northeast of, the southwest line of
                lot 2A to a point 95 feet southeast of the
                northwest line of lot 2A, thence northeast 164 feet
                parallel to, and at all points 95 feet southeast
                of, the northwest line of lot 2A, thence northwest
                95 feet parallel to, and at all points 189 feet
                northeast of, the southwest line of lot 2A to the
                northwest line of said lot, thence northeast 112.27
                feet with said northwest line to the northwest
                corner of lot 2A, thence southeast 150.93 feet with
                the northeast line of said lot to the northwest
                line of Center Street, the point of beginning.  Tax
                Map No. 148E-A-41.1.
               
               
         from M-2 Light Industrial Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial 
Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
